Walleye Course Day #6, How "knitting" Can Help You Catch Walleye

Hi Fisherman,

You signed up for my Walleye information for 60 days now. (can you believe it's been 2 months since we "met"?) Today I want to give you probably one of the most unique "Walleye catching tactics" I have ever seen.

There's an old school Walleye fisherman I talk to a lot - and he's one of those real private guys, doesn't even want me to tell you his name... so I won't.

But anyway, when he told me what he does to catch Walleye, I just couldn't believe it... until I saw it for myself!

I know you won't believe it when I tell you... the guy uses knitting thread to catch Walleye! But it's a little more than just throwing some thread on your hook and fishing... here's his whole strategy.

First what he does is he lookes for "hidden trees". He searches the shore for tree stumps, and judging by the size of the trunk he can guess how tall the tree was - and then "guestimates" where the top of that tree is underwater where it fell.

He swears if you can find a "top of the tree" underwater, there will be loads of Walleye... and of course I believe him, not only because I know for a fact that there will be large zooplankton blooms in these spots, but he proved it to me by catching a ton of Walleye.

Once he's identified a spot like this, he pulls out his home made "jigs". (He says he'd go broke if he bought the expensive store bought jigs). So here's how he makes these "super jigs" that are responsible for most of his catches of Walleye over his long life of fishing...

He uses a split-shot mold and pours 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 ounce split shot into it. Then he uses wire Walleye hooks and several different colors of knitting thread. He cuts the knitting thread into various lengths, and puts 3 strands of the thread and the hook in a shot lead and crimps it closed...

And that's how he makes his "knitting thread jig", and it works far better than some of the store bought jigs he's used... and if he loses it, he's lost pennies instead of quarters.

To start catching them, he just finds a "treetop" and changes the color of his thread until he finds the one that "hits" and catches him a mess of Walleye.

...and as a rule of thumb, if you don't break off 50 or more of these jigs in a solid day of fishing, you aren't fishing where the Walleye are. Don't be afraid to break 'em off, and it's good to keep everything you need to make more right on your boat.

Try the knitting thread Walleye jigs - they work extremely well!

Now, here's another story about the Walleye Fishing Secret Weapon I got from Irv Fiala:

--------------------

"Dan,

I dropped it in about 4 feet of water, and left it...when I came back 45 minutes later there were literally millions of minnows all around it. I couldn't believe it, and called my wife over to check it out - and she couldn't believe it either! This thing is amazing!

Irv Fiala"

--------------------

It will work for you too, and you won't know how you ever fished without it once you see how many Walleye you'll be catching. You get the 4 gifts too - but only for a little while longer (don't say I didn't warn you).

Next, in just 4 days I'm going to send the final day of the Walleye fishing mini course where I am going to pepper you with 3 final "little known" techniques for catching Walleye. (One has to do with a highly visible bait that will have you laughing when you hear what it is - but boy does it work!)

See you then.
